Here are a few guidelines for leading a Men of Honor small group

QUALIFICATIONS

  • The most important thing is that you are willing and available.
  • You don't need to be a cell leader.

PROCESS

  • Draw a group of men together for 45 - 60 minutes per week to work through the book chapter by chapter.
  • The book is your guide.
  • You only have to facilitate discussion - you do not have to teach.
  • Each person must read the chapter for the week before coming to the group.
  • Open with a short prayer. If you are meeting with people who are not Christians, be sensitive, especially for the first few meetings. Do not become religious. Honor them and allow God to convict and draw them.
  • Go through the pages of the chapter and ask for feedback on any points that impacted anyone. Invite discussion from others on their thoughts.
  • Then go to the questions at the end of the chapter. First invite feedback on the points for personal reflection. Perhaps, some may need encouragement and prayer with deep issues they are dealing with.
  • Then go through the points for group discussion.
  • End with a short prayer and some light snacks.

NOTE

  • Should deeper problems surface, like marriage problems, pornography, addiction, etc, refer to your pastor or other trained counsellor.

REGISTERING

  •  Register your group on the website so that we can pray for you and also that others in your area looking to join a Men of Honor small group can find you.
